It has been a big year for our girl Selly G! She started the year with a bang releasing her first album in over four years, then produced a cooking show, launched her make up line, collaborated with BLACKPINK in a record-breaking video, and is now reportedly filming another music video! The rumour started after this mural was found in Mexico:
According to sources, it is going to be a video for a Spanish song with parts filmed in Mexico and Los Angelos. Could this be a collaboration with another artist, a Spanish version of one of her songs, or an entirely new single?

Selena Gomez recently did a cover for Allure Magazine where she covers topics ranging from birthdays, her childhood, the Black Lives Matter movement, and more while looking spectacular in her Rare Beauty cosmetic to which she did herself with the direction of makeup artist Hung Vanngo.
With their collaborative single ‘Ice Cream’ coming out, fans of Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK are on the edge of their seats but to outsiders, the collaboration may come as a surprise. Here is why we think these artists working together makes sense:
1. They have a similar fan base
Even though BLACKPINK is a k-pop group, they have garnered a HUGE international fanbase over the past 2 years. This is evident when they got their own stage at Coachella, being the first ever k-pop artist to do so. Similarly, Selena has performed at stadiums across the world. Their fanbase regardless of nationality, seem to love their sweet and innocent personas and the fun pop music they create.
2. They help introduce each other’s music to their fanbases.
Even though they are both international, k-pop is more popular in Asia while Selena has most of her fanbase in the western world. By collaborating, they introduce their fanbases to a similar artist that their fans can potentially really like and this will increase their popularity. It is a genius marketing tactic.
3. They are both incredibly talented.
Aside from singing, all five of them can dance. Selena is a natural performer and the BLACKPINK girls have been training for years at YG so perhaps in the music video or on stage, their performances will consist of a lot dancing and singing combined which will make for an epic show!

It turns out when Selena and David posted this Instagram teaser of the two together, it wasn’t because there is going to be a WOWP reunion like fans had hoped, but not all hope is lost because the iconic TV siblings are still going to be working on a movie together. Check out the poster below:
With so many Disney Channel shows having zoom reunions such as Sonny With a Chance, Good Luck Charlie and many more, fans have been urging for one of their all time favourites, Wizards of Waverly Place to have a reunion as well. After all, all of the cast members has said they wanted one at one point or another and David Henrie, Jennifer Stone, and Gregg Sulkin (who played Justin, Harper, and Mason respectively) even made a YouTube video last week together but people were disappointed that Selena aka Alex Russo did not make an appearance.
Now, Selena and David both shared something very interesting on their Instagrams that STRONGLY hints at a reunion:
It is both of them saying “hmmm…” which we all know anything with the two iconic siblings duos together could only mean that hmmm…some type of get together, whether a scripted TV reunion, a live chat, or maybe a YouTube video on Gregg’s channel is definitely on the way! We can’t wait!

After releasing an album this year, it looks like Selena is back acting! She is going to star in a murder mystery series on HULU called Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. It is going to be comedy that follows the three strangers who share an obsession with true crime which she is an executive producer on as well.
This is Gomez’s fourth time as an executive producer having worked on features 13 Reasons Why, Undocumented, The Broken Hearts Gallery and HBO Max cooking show Selena + Chef in the past. She also starred in the movie The Dead Don’t Die last year so it looks like she is continuing with the horror genre. It is also the first series in which she have a lead role in since Wizards of Waverly Place. We can’t wait to see Selena back acting on the small screen!
