BLACKPINK ‘The Album’ Songs Ranked!
BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated album, rightfully called ‘The Album‘ is finally out! And to no one’s surprise, all the songs are top tier good! That being said, some songs did stick out more than others. Here is how they ranked:
8. Lovesick Girls
Before creating a fuss – hear me out. We are not bashing their latest single but it does lack that edge we are use to. This doesn’t mean the song is bad, it just means that the rest of the album gets even better!

BLACKPINK strikes 3 times – in home runs that is! The k-pop group released their third single ‘Lovesick Girls’ of the year! Take a look:
This video took a turn, to a more melancholic side where the girls are singing about the hurting of a heartbreak.
Contrary to their usual badass images, the girls show viewers a more vulnerable side to them, adding acting to their list of talents as they poured their hearts out in raw emotions throughout the video; a side we haven’t seen since ‘Stay‘, their music video released back in 2016.
Not to mention, their vocals are off the charts in this song as we hear a wider vocal range than with their previous more upbeat jams.
The video is released on the same day as their first album release. Way to go BLACKPINK!

Shawn Mendes Releases Trailer for New Song ‘Wonder’
It has been a while since we heard of Shawn (musically that is, he is still very much in the public eye with girlfriend Camila). But he broke that silence when releasing a trailer for ‘Wonder’, the first single to his upcoming album. Take a look:
In the trailer, he is playing a sad song on a piano while laying on a mattress in his room but then the camera pans out beyond his windows, giving a sense of hope.
It looks like Mendes will be coming out with a slower and more melancholy chapter from the looks of the teaser.
Camila supported her boyfriend by writing, “the world could use some magic, beauty, and Wonder always, but especially right now. @shawnmendes what a gorgeous gift to the world. He’s crafted this album with every last bit of his soul, his spirit, and his essence with the purest of intentions. Taylor Praises This Cover of ‘Cardigan’
BBC Live Lounge has a series where they get famous artists to cover songs of other famous artists. In this episode, Yungblud covered Swift’s ‘Cardigan’ mixed with Avirl Lavigne’s ‘I’m With You’ and it got the attention and praise of the Folklore singer herself.
She tweeted, “WELL this took my breath away and I’m honored to hear Cardigan intertwined with the wonderful @AvrilLavigne’s masterpiece ‘I’m with you. Bravo and thanks @yungblud!!”
Yungblud’s version sounds drastically different but not in a bad way. Check out the cover for yourself below:

BLACKPINK Releases Teaser for ‘Lovesick Girls’
BLACKPINK has really been coming through to save 2020 as they released the teaser for their 3rd single this year which will be titled “Lovesick Girls” coming out October 2nd. Check it out:
The teaser shows the four girls running through a green illuminated street with an acoustic sound in the background. Perhaps this song will be one of their slower songs? This is the last track on their album, BLACKPINK The Album which will be coming out the same day. We can’t wait!
